Dear friends, «Master Rallye 2001» was crowned with real success, and I want to thank all those who somehow contributed to its preparation and realization, and to express my special thanks for the hearty welcome and effective assistance to the two countries that the race crossed for the first time - Syria and Jordania.

Unable to forecast the development of recent political events fraught with certain complications, Master Rallye Organizational Committee decided to lay the course 2002 from the banks of the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea, along the roads of the great Russia.

From «Northern Palmira» to «Pont Yevksinskii» (the Hospitable Sea) you are awaited by the boundless lands of Volga, sandy ridges of Volgo-Akhtubinskaya water-meadow, motley grass of the steppes of Kalmykia (Halmg Tangch). If you head for antique Sindskaya harbour you will find yourself on the bank of the legendary Zemesskaya bay bordered with Markhotskii ridge mountains. The 8^th edition of «Master Rallye» will finish in a heavenly place, where majestic mountains with relic forests harmonize with unspeakable beauty of the mountain lake Abrau. There is no doubt that champagne will flow as a river in the famous cellars of the country estate «Abrau-Durso» that was founded by order of Emperor Alexander 2 in October, 1870!
